Nestor Ugale Jr. and Ho’ōla iā Mauikama Disaster Long Term Recovery Group Executive Director Rhonda Alexander-Monkres will speak at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting June 2.

The presentation, “Helping Lahaina Come Home: The Role of Ho’ōla LTRG in Long-Term Recovery,” will focus on wildfire recovery efforts and the organization’s work coordinating support and services for survivors rebuilding after the Lahaina fires.

Ugale, a Lahaina native and president of the nonprofit Kaibigan ng Lahaina, also serves on the mayor’s advisory team and the Maui Economic Recovery Committee.

The meeting will be at the YMCA West Side Resource Center in the former Tamura’s building at Emerald Plaza, 226 Kupuohi St. in Lahaina. A social period will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the program from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information, email Laura Stanton at lstanton127@outlook.com.
