Maui Police Officer Suzanne O, who was killed in the line of duty on Aug. 15, 2025, was honored at the 2026 Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday in Honolulu.
The annual ceremony, organized by the Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, recognizes law enforcement officers across the state who died while serving their communities. Officer O’s name was added to the memorial during this year’s service.
“Officer Suzanne O served with integrity, courage and an enduring commitment to our community, just like the other 84 men and women who are honored at the memorial,” Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation Board President Kurt Kendro said.
The memorial is on the grounds of the Kalanimoku Building on Punchbowl Street.
The Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, established in 2010, is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that maintains the memorial honoring city, state, military and federal law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty while serving Hawaii communities.
