Artist Jason Moore and co-owner Haylee Moore have opened The M Gallery at the Lahaina Cannery Mall.

The gallery, located near the entrance to the mall next to Starbucks, features limited-edition photography, original acrylic abstract paintings, pop art, Tahitian pearl jewelry and Pacific Green furniture, with an emphasis on locally created artwork and island-inspired design.

Jason Moore’s photographic work is displayed at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and has appeared in USA Today, the New York Times and Coastal Living.

The Moores hope to help to bring back art and creativity to Lahaina, a place that had more than 40 fine art galleries before the 2023 wildfire.

Jason Moore has spent nearly three decades curating his photography collections and supporting marine conservation work of the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.

He’s a member of the whale entanglement response team and contributes to whale research as a drone pilot, in-water photographer and boat captain.
