Sne Patel to run West Maui seat in state House

LahainaTown Action Committee President Sne Patel has announced his candidacy for the state House District 14 seat representing West Maui.
In a news release, Patel cited recovery efforts and long-term planning as key issues in his campaign and said he plans to focus on infrastructure, education, economic opportunity, housing and quality of life.
“I believe West Maui needs balanced, practical and accountable leadership that understands the importance of both preserving what makes this place special while also creating opportunities for future generations to thrive,” Patel said.
Patel has served as president of the LahainaTown Action Committee for more than a decade and is a member of the Economic Recovery Commission. He also previously chaired the Maui County Liquor Control Commission and has served on the Lahaina Junior Golf board while volunteering with youth programs and community initiatives.
According to his campaign, Patel has more than 20 years of experience in business and public service. He also participated in the Ka Ipu Kukui Fellowship, a Maui County leadership development program.
