Ashley Awakea Lindsey, a candidate for the Maui County Council’s Wailuku-Waihee-Waikapu seat, has received the endorsement of the Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters.

Sam Kim of the council said Lindsey has “a clear understanding of the challenges facing working families across Maui” and is committed to policies that support family-sustaining jobs, workforce development, housing affordability and responsible economic growth.

The Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters represents more than 6,000 carpenters and construction professionals across the state.

Lindsey will be sign waving from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Old Kahului Shopping Center near Burger King. For more information, go to Lindsey4MauiNui.com.
