IBEW Local 1260 endorses Patel in House District 14 race

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1260 has endorsed Sne Patel in the race for Hawaii State House District 14, Patel’s campaign announced.
The union represents more than 3,500 members in Hawaii and Guam in utilities, construction, communications, government, maintenance and operations, broadcasting and other industries.
The endorsement is Patel’s sixth labor endorsement, according to his campaign. Other unions backing him include the Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters, Hawaii Teamsters Local 996, Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 630, Sheet Metal Workers Local 293 and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 50.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of IBEW Local 1260 and grateful for the support of the hardworking men and women who keep our communities powered, connected and moving forward every day,” Patel said in a statement.
Patel is a West Maui small business leader and community volunteer. He currently serves on the joint state and county Economic Recovery Commission and has been involved in efforts to support Lahaina’s recovery following the August 2023 wildfires.
