Maui County offering free movie nights in July

The Maui County Department of Parks and Recreation will celebrate National Park and Recreation Month in July with free family-friendly movie nights on Maui, Molokai and Lanai.
All outdoor movie screenings will begin at sunset unless otherwise noted. Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks, nonalcoholic beverages, low-back chairs and blankets.
The Maui schedule includes screenings at 7 p.m. July 1 at Hana Ball Park in East Maui; July 2 at the Lahaina Civic Center Amphitheater in West Maui; July 10 at the south end of Kamaole III Beach Park in South Maui; July 16 at the Lahaina Civic Center Amphitheater; July 17 at Mayor Eddie Tam Memorial Complex, on the field below Eddie Tam in Makawao; and July 24 at War Memorial Complex, in the field area below the swimming pool.
Additional screenings are scheduled for 7 p.m. July 10 at Kaunakakai Gymnasium on Molokai and 6:30 p.m. July 22 at Lanai Park Complex Gymnasium on Lanai.
Two more Parks and Recreation events will be held on Lanai as part of the celebration. Picture-frame decorating is scheduled from 1:30 to 5 p.m. July 15, and birdhouse building and decorating is scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. July 20. Both events will be at Lanai Park Complex Gymnasium.
