One week remains to apply for FEMA, SBA disaster assistance

Homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofits affected by the kona low storms in March have one week left to apply for federal disaster assistance.
The deadline to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance and U.S. Small Business Administration low-interest physical damage disaster loans is June 14. Officials said the deadline will not affect applications that have already been started.
Residents can apply for FEMA assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov, through the FEMA mobile app, by calling the FEMA Helpline at (800) 621-3362, or in person at a Local Recovery Center. Recovery center locations are available at ready.hawaii.gov.
Applications for SBA disaster loans may be submitted online at sba.gov/disaster, by calling SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955, by emailing DisasterCustomerService@sba.gov, at a Local Recovery Center, or at a Disaster Loan Outreach Center. Information on outreach center locations is available at appointment.sba.gov.
