Stewardship day planned for June 13 at Kahaluu Bay
Registration is open for Hoaaina Stewardship Day from 8 a.m. to noon June 13 at Kahaluu Bay and Beach Park.
Hosted by the Kohala Center, the free program invites community members of all ages to learn about the cultural and environmental significance of Kahaluu through guided activities focused on stewardship, observation and local history.
Participants will explore coastal ecosystems, learn about Kahaluu as a culturally significant place and take part in shoreline and optional in-water activities. Those planning to join the in-water portion are encouraged to bring snorkel gear.
