A scheduled waterline repair project will result in overnight partial road closures and possible water service interruptions on Makawao Avenue between Baldwin Avenue and Makani Road from June 21-24.

The work is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on June 21-22, June 22-23 and June 23-24. During construction, the road will be limited to local traffic only.

Through traffic will be detoured via Olinda Road, Hanamu Road, Meha Road and Kealaloa Avenue.

Maui County Department of Water Supply officials said brief interruptions to water service may occur during the work periods. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and use caution when traveling in the area.
