Maui County property tax payment due Aug. 20

1 min read

The first installment of Maui County real property taxes for fiscal year 2026-27 is due Aug. 20, according to the Maui County Department of Finance.

Tax bills have been mailed to property owners and their agents. Property owners who have not received a bill should contact the department. Failure to receive a bill does not exempt taxpayers from penalties or interest on late payments.

Taxes not paid in full by the deadline will be subject to a one-time 10% penalty and 1% monthly interest on the unpaid balance until paid.

Payments may be made online or by phone using a credit card, debit card or electronic check. Taxpayers also may enroll in the county's free AutoPay program at least 10 business days before the due date.

Mailed payments must be postmarked by Aug. 20. Payments also may be placed in county drop boxes by 4 p.m. Aug. 20 or made in person from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the Treasury Division Payment Center, County Service Center, 110 'Ala'ihi St., Suite 108, Kahului.
