Primary election ballots expected by July 21
Hawaii voters should receive their 2026 primary election ballots in the mail by July 21, according to the state Office of Elections.
Voters must sign the ballot return envelope for their ballot to be accepted. Completed ballots must be received by 7 p.m. Aug. 8; ballots postmarked by the deadline but received later will not be counted.
Voters can track their ballots and sign up for notifications at elections.hawaii.gov or by calling (808) 453-8683.
Those who make a mistake on a ballot should not try to correct it and instead follow the instructions provided to request a replacement.
Voters who have moved or changed their mailing address since the 2024 election should update their registration online at elections.hawaii.gov or complete a voter registration application available at state libraries and post offices.
Electronic ballots and accessible voting equipment at voter service centers are available for voters who need assistance.
