Vocational Service Award Winners to be recognized
On July 21, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset will present the 2026 Vocational Service Awards, given annually to an individual, a nonprofit and a business for exceptional service to the community or club.
Awardees are chosen for exemplifying Rotary’s “Service Above Self” philosophy and serving as models of ethical behavior.
According to the club, Nancy Eckman will be honored with the Individual Award for her continued support of the club’s financial literacy courses at Lahainaluna High School and the Boys and Girls Club.
Winner of the Business Award, Maui Kuia Estate Chocolate Factory was selected for providing free event space for club fundraisers and special meetings, as well as in-kind donations for special events.
The Nonprofit Organization Award will be given to Maui United Way for its financial support of Lahainaluna High School Interact Club activities.
The meeting will be at the YMCA West Side Resource Center in the old Tamura’s building in Emerald Plaza, 226 Kupuohi St. The social period will begin at 5 p.m. The formal meeting program is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
