The Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Child Support Enforcement Agency has completed a major technology upgrade and launched its new KEIKI child support platform.
The system became fully operational July 20 following a 2.5-year modernization project. Officials said the transition did not interrupt child support services or agency operations.
KEIKI replaces the agency's aging mainframe system and is designed to improve security, performance, reporting and data management while allowing for future state and federal program changes.
Planning began in 2021 and included data conversion, system redesign, testing and staff training.
The agency administers Hawaii's child support program by establishing parentage, enforcing support obligations and collecting and distributing payments.
