From Aug. 12 to Oct. 1, the East Maui Water Authority will accept applications for grants supporting watershed restoration, education, research and cultural knowledge-sharing benefiting Huelo, Honomanū, Keʻanae and Nāhiku.
Individuals, nonprofits and for-profit businesses may apply. The East Maui Water Authority has $150,000 available for fiscal year 2027 grants.
Free workshops will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at the EMWA office in Kahului and online, at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in Keʻanae Uka and at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Haʻikū Community Center. First-time applicants are encouraged to attend a workshop or schedule an appointment with EMWA staff.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 1. Mailed applications must be postmarked by the deadline. For more information about the online and in-person workshop, visit mauicounty.gov/emwa and click on "EMWA Grant Opportunities."
