Emergency Wi-Fi available for Hana residents

Three local organizations have pooled their resources to set up a free Wi-Fi network to help East Maui residents maintain access to internet connectivity, communication and online resources following Tropical Storm Lala.

The emergency Wi-fi is now available in Hana town for East Maui residents. The Starlink Wi-Fi equipment was provided by Maui United Way, in coordination with Maui Economic Opportunity and Hāle Hulu Mamo (Maui Adult Day Care).

The equipment is at Hāle Hulu Mamo. Connectivity can be accessed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday via parking on the street. The network name is “Open Wifi by ITDRC.org.”
