Festivals of Aloha will kick off its 2026 schedule of events Sept. 4 with Wailuku First Friday, but that's just the beginning of the celebrations in September and October.
Events are planned across Maui, Lanai and Molokai under the theme "Ea Mai Ke Kai Mai - Rise Up from the Sea," in support of Gov. Josh Green's declaration of 2026 as the "Year of Our Coastal Kuleana."
The schedule includes:
• Sept. 4 -- Wailuku First Friday: 6-9 p.m. on Market Street. Visit wailukufirstfriday.com for more information.
• Sept. 11 -- Aloha Friday: 5-8 p.m. at Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, featuring Hawaiian entertainment, cultural demonstrations, food and family activities.
• Sept. 19 -- 24th Annual Richard Ho'opi'i Leo Ki'eki'e Falsetto Contest: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Visit festivalsofaloha.com/hoopii.
• Oct. 3 -- Festivals of Aloha: Lanai: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Four Seasons Resort Lanai.
• Oct. 9 -- Festivals of Aloha: Molokai: Hawaiian music, hula, food and cultural exhibits at Molokai Community Health Center.
• Oct. 17-24 -- Festivals of Aloha: Hana: A weeklong celebration featuring the Hana Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa, entertainment, sports, cultural activities, food and contests.
• Oct. 23-25 -- Festivals of Aloha: Wailea: Events at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea include the Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Haʻihaʻi Falsetto Contest, Hula Is the Heartbeat and Sounds of the Sea. Visit festivalsofaloha.com/haihai.
