As of 1:30 a.m. Sunday, the Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center shelter in Pukalani has been closed due to flooding.
Because of the flooding, the center is not available for residents seeking shelter. Residents who need a safe place to go should proceed to the next nearest available shelter that can be safely reached.

• Hana: Hana High & Elementary School Cafeteria, 4111 Hana Highway
• Lahaina: Lahaina Civic Center Gym, 1840 Honoapiʻilani Highway
• Kihei: South Maui Community Park and Gym, 1501 Liloa Drive
On Lanai and Molokai, the Lanai Youth Center, 101-165 Fifth St. Lanai City, Molokai Baptist Church and Kilohana Recreation Center, 344 Kamehameha V Highway, Kaunakakai are available on an as-needed basis.
