Organizations serving Kahului can apply for a share of $150,000 in residency area grant funding included in Maui County's fiscal year 2027 budget.
Eligible applicants include organizations seeking to support initiatives that improve quality of life, strengthen neighborhoods and address community-identified needs in the Kahului residency area, according to Maui County Council member Kauanoe Batangan.
"These residency funds are opportunities to uplift our community from the ground up," Batangan said. "I look forward to seeing the innovative proposals our community brings forward."
Applications are due Oct. 1 and are expected to take at least four weeks to process. Forms are available at tinyurl.com/yanzp7jm, and grant requirements can be found in the Office of Economic Development's Grant Handbook at tinyurl.com/ntxp2h9a.
