The Maluhia Maui Rotary Club will hold a community E-Cycle pickup from 8 to 11 a.m. Aug. 22 to help Maui residents responsibly dispose of unwanted electronics.
The club will accept televisions, computer monitors, desktop and laptop computers and printers. A $20 donation per item is suggested, with optional data destruction available for an additional $10 per device.
Proceeds from the event will help support Maluhia Maui Rotary Club community service projects benefiting Maui and local families.
Organizers said recycling electronics helps keep potentially harmful materials out of landfills while allowing valuable materials to be recovered for reuse.
