West Maui Rotary clubs induct two new members

Thirty-five members and friends of the Rotary Clubs of Lahaina, Lahaina Sunrise and Lahaina Sunset recently gathered at the Maui Kuia Estate Chocolate Factory to meet Rotary District 5000 Gov. Benson Medina.
Following a Hawaiian blessing and dinner, Medina discussed how Hawaiian values align with Rotary's Four-Way Test and invited participants to share why they joined the service organization.
Medina also announced the formation of a Rotary Disaster Recovery Committee to help Rotary respond alongside first responder organizations to local disasters such as the Kona Low and Hurricane Lala.
The gathering concluded with the induction of two members. Capt. Shawn Keoho joined the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise and was sponsored by Past President Leah Harbottle. Gina Biondi joined the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset and was sponsored by Deborah Moore.
