University of Hawaii Maui College will offer a free online cybersecurity webinar for Hawaii sole proprietors and registered businesses from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 16.
"The One-Person Security Department: Building Your Own Tools for Hawaii IT on No Budget" is the first in a series of three Zoom sessions offered through the University of Hawaii Cybersecurity Clinic.
David Stevens, an associate professor of information technology and cybersecurity at Kapiolani Community College, will discuss low-cost tools for identifying devices on a network, reviewing logs, auditing system configurations and testing systems for vulnerabilities.
The session also will cover the use of artificial intelligence to create cybersecurity tools and ways to verify AI-generated scripts. Registration is required at tinyurl.com/48vmcwdk.
