The Maui County Office on Aging and Mauliola Pharmacy's Hoʻokaulike Wellness branch will offer a free six-week Diabetes Self-Management workshop series from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 through Oct. 21.
Participants may attend weekly sessions in person at Mauliola Pharmacy, 95 Mahalani St., Room 28-5, in Wailuku or virtually through Microsoft Teams. iPads are available to borrow for those who need a device to participate online.
The Stanford University-developed program will offer strategies for managing fatigue, stress, difficult emotions, communication challenges and low or high blood sugar. Certified Diabetes Self-Management education specialists will lead the sessions.
