Maui Chamber to host employment law seminar Sept. 11

1 min read

The Maui Chamber of Commerce will host its 2026 Maui Employment Law Seminar from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Maui Beach Hotel.

Employment law attorneys from Torkildson Katz will discuss employee leave requirements, wage-and-hour rules, independent contractors, overtime, artificial intelligence, equal pay and recent court cases and enforcement priorities.

The seminar also will cover internal workplace investigations and changes involving equal employment opportunity requirements, including diversity, equity and inclusion; EEO-1 reporting; and voluntary affirmative action plans.

"Employment law is constantly changing, and even well-intentioned businesses can find themselves out of compliance if they aren't keeping up with new requirements," Maui Chamber President Pamela Tumpap said.

The event includes a continental breakfast, lunch and a copy of the 2026-27 Chamber Desk Manual. Maui Chamber and SHRM Hawaii members are eligible for discounted registration rates.
