Maui County's housing market saw increased sales activity in August, with the number of sales of single-family homes and condominiums up compared to the same month last year.
Also, the median sales price for both single-family homes and condominiums decreased in August compared to the same month in 2025, according to the Realtors Association of Maui.
"August saw more homes and condominiums change hands compared to last year, even as median prices came down," RAM President Georgie Tamayose said in a news release. "Buyers continue to have options, and we're seeing them move forward when they find the right property. For sellers, thoughtful pricing and a willingness to adjust to current market conditions can make an important difference in connecting with today's buyers."
The price of single-family house resales in Maui County decreased by 7.9% in August compared to the same month in 2025, according to the association.
The median sales price in August was $1,200,000, compared to $1,302,500 in August 2025.
The prices for single-family houses were based on 64 sales in August of this year, compared to 62 for the same period last year.
The homes sold in August spent a median of 128 days on the market.
The median price of condominium sales dropped by 13.1%, decreasing from $650,000 in August, 2025 to $564,950.
There were 68 condominium sales recorded in August, compared to 57 in August 2025.
