Maui Health Foundation Director of Philanthropy Leana Taylor will discuss "Food Is Medicine: Locally Grown, Physician Prescribed" at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting Sept. 15.
Taylor will explain an approach to preventive care that provides locally grown food alongside clinical monitoring and education. Maui Health developed the program with Living Pono, University of Hawaii Maui College and Mauiola Pharmacy.
The meeting will be held at the YMCA West Side Resource Center, 226 Kupuohi St. in Lahaina. A social period will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the meeting from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. To attend, email Laura Stanton at lstanton127@outlook.com.
