The monthly Paʻūpili Lahaina 3rd Saturdays gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 at Lahaina United Methodist Church.
The free event will feature cultural activities offered in partnership with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, including ʻawa tasting, lei making, coconut frond weaving, lomilomi and an ʻukulele lesson with Jason Jerome of Lahaina Music.
Entertainment will include Reiko Fukino, RJ Bio, Alyssa Ah Yuen, Peter D, Tarvin Makia and Gilbert Emata, and Da Three Podagees. Maui businesses, nonprofit organizations and service providers also will offer locally made products and community resources.
The Maui Economic Recovery Commission's Healing Journey Team organizes the monthly gathering to support healing, cultural connections and community resilience following the 2023 Lahaina wildfire.
