Due to anticipated severe weather, Maui County officials have canceled the War Memorial Gymnasium Blessing that was planned for Friday, Sept. 25.
Additionally, the Kōkua Kauai Donation Drive scheduled for Sept. 26-27 has also been postponed, according to the county.
The War Memorial Gymnasium Blessing was scheduled to mark the completion of renovations to the Wailuku facility. A future community event will be held to celebrate the renovated gymnasium, with details to be announced at a later date.
The Kōkua Kauai Donation Drive was scheduled to collect essential items for residents of Kauai affected by Hurricane Lowell. The donation drive will be rescheduled, with a new date to be announced.
