The Maui Youth Rodeo Organization will host its annual Champagne & Champions benefit gala Nov. 21 at the Oskie Rice Event Center Ranch Clubhouse in Makawao to support youth rodeo programs and preserve Maui’s paniolo heritage.
The event will feature a four-course dinner prepared by chef David Vilanti, live and silent auctions, and entertainment.
Proceeds will help the nonprofit keep rodeo accessible and affordable for Maui youth and their families. Funds support clinics, training, awards, scholarships, travel opportunities and the maintenance of arenas and livestock.
Founded in 2016, the organization provides opportunities for children and teens to develop horsemanship, sportsmanship and teamwork while learning the traditions of Hawaii’s paniolo culture.
Community members and businesses can support the organization through ticket purchases and auction donations. Donations can be arranged by emailing mauiyouthrodeoorg@gmail.com.
The event will take place at 521 Olinda Road in Makawao. Tickets are available at tinyurl.com/mrcsmrsp.
