The Rotary Club of Wailuku will host Flags for Our Heroes on Nov. 7-8 at the Maui Tropical Plantation front field, honoring military members, veterans, first responders, teachers, health care workers and others who have made a difference in the community.
The event will feature a display of American flags, with individual flags available for sponsorship at $50 each. Each flag will include a personalized medallion identifying the honoree and sponsor. Medallions will be returned to sponsors after the event.
The opening ceremony will include a tribute from Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen, with Scouts assisting in flag placement and the ceremony.
Proceeds will support college scholarships for graduating high school seniors.
Flags can be sponsored through Venmo and Paypal at tinyurl.com/yhsz6par. For more information, visit flagsforourheroes.org or email Jennifer Barr at jenbarr9@yahoo.com.
