Maui County residents can provide input on the county's fiscal year 2028 budget during community meetings Oct. 15 in Kihei and Oct. 16 in Lahaina.
The South Maui meeting will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Kihei Community Center. The West Maui meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall.
The meetings are part of a series hosted by Mayor Richard Bissen and his administration to gather public input as the county develops its budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2027. Written and verbal comments will be accepted.
Additional meetings are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at Mitchell Pauole Community Center in Kaunakakai, Molokai; Oct. 27 at ILWU Union Hall on Lanai; and Nov. 12 at Helene Hall in Hana.
Residents also may submit requests using a form available at mauicounty.gov/budget. The meetings can be viewed on the County of Maui Facebook page without an account.
