Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen’s Holomua Kākou community outreach program will return to East Maui on Nov. 12-13 after its previously scheduled visit was postponed due to severe weather forecasts.

Staff from the mayor's office will be available to answer questions and provide assistance from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at Helene Hall Community Center, 174 Keawa Place, Hana.

A grant writing workshop is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 12, led by Chief of Staff Cynthia Lallo and Budget Director Lesley Milner. The workshop will cover general grant writing skills and the county’s grant processes.

Bissen will host a community budget meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. Nov. 12, giving residents an opportunity to provide input on priorities for the county’s upcoming budget. A community talk story will follow from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
