Birth of Buddha to be celebrated

The community is invited to celebrate Vesak Day (the birth of Buddha) at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Chua Tu Hanh Vietnamese Buddhist Temple in Kahului.

There will be a short, guided sitting meditation followed by a dharma talk by the Venerable Chan Phap Dang, the first disciple of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh of Plum Village French temple in France.

A ceremony of bathing the baby Buddha and a joyful meal together will end the evening.

The temple is located at 385 S. Puunene Ave. For more information, contact Sister Rose Hao at (808) 873-8654.
