Alan Masami Watanabe, 88

Alan Masami Watanabe, 88, of Kahului, Maui; passed away on March 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 9, 1926 in Wailuku, Maui.

Alan retired from First Hawaiian Bank after 32 years of management and later retired from City Bank.

Visitations will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kihei from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with Mass over urn to begin at 10:00 a.m.; lunch to follow at church hall; inurnment to follow on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Maui Veteran’s Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

Alan is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor “Christmas Tree Lady” Watanabe; survived by his sons, Michael Watanabe, Msgr. Terrence A.M. Watanabe; brother, Stanley Watanabe; sister, Margaret Yamane; 3 grandchildren, Michelle, Michael and Matthew Watanabe and 1 great grandchild, Chancey. Family request no gifts or flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for St. Theresa’s Hale Kau Kau program.
