Kathleen “Lynne” Mamhot Higaki, 68, of Hilo, Hawaii and Pukalani, Maui, died March 24, 2015 at Hilo Medical Center.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo, with a service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Alae Cemetery in Hilo. Family requests casual attire be worn.
Dodo Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
Ms. Higaki was born on May 10, 1946, in Hakalau, Hawaii. She was the daughter of Alejandro Sr. and Magdalena (Lurendez) Mamhot.
She was currently a driver’s assistant for Roberts Hawaii and a retired custodian for Waiakea High School.
She is survived by sons, Myles (Bianca) Higaki of Kihei, Maui, Derek (Betty Uyeda) Higaki of Hilo, Hawaii; daughter, Kelsie Rae Higaki of Makawao, Maui; brothers, Benjamin Mamhot, Eugene Mamhot, both of Hilo, Hawaii; sisters, Bonnie Aceret, Josephine (Herbert) Yokoyama, both of Hilo, Hawaii; brother-in-law, Stephen Bellinger of Redlands, Calif.; sister-in-law, Catherine Mamhot of Honokaa, Hawaii; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
