Isao “Ike” Higa, 87, of Wailuku, passed away on September 3, 2015, at his residence under the care of Hospice Maui.
He was born on October 26, 1927 in Hali’imaile, Maui.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Ballard Family Mortuary, services will begin at 7 p.m., and cremation will follow.
Isao was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Dispatcher & Transportation Supervisor on a Military base.
Isao was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Dias Higa. He is survived by his sons, Robbie Chutaro, Isaac Higa, Keith Higa, Tani Latdrik, Rodney Barona, and Nixon Pound; daughters, Vanessa Rivera, Erine Laukon, Rostina Tabuaka, Robin Higa, Lynnal Leon, Sharon Erra, Masako Tokanang; sisters, Bernice Isagawa, Karen Higa, Jeanette Tengan; brother, Richard Morioshi Higa; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Ike was predeceased by his sisters, Doris Toma, and Mitzi Wilhelm; and brother, Henry Higa.
