Antone “Sonny” Fernandez, Jr., 88 of Pukalani, passed away on April 16, 2016 in Kahului. He was born on August 18, 1927 in Lihue, Kauai.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Ballard Family Mortuary, Kahului, and memorial services will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Antone retired from the County of Maui. He was the Deputy Director of the Department of Liquor Control. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his son, Tony (Darilyn) Fernandez; daughters, Antoinette (Randall) Abreu, Juliette Kim; grandchildren, Jonah (Cherlyn) Abreu, Holly (Guy) Zackious, Aukai Kim, Iokepa (Iwalani) Kim, Nicole (Satya Nayak) Fernandez, Reyn Fernandez; and great-grandchildren, Tysin Zackious, Tori Zackious, and Isaac Abreu.
