Derrick M. Hatada, 55
Derrick Mitsuji Hatada, 55, of Wailuku, passed away at Queen’s Medical Center on May 9, 2016.
Services honoring Derrick will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Friday, May 27, 2016. A public visitation will begin at 4:00pm, with services beginning at 5:00pm.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Derrick was born on March 31, 1961 in Hilo, Hawaii to Masashi & Tokiko Hatada. He graduated from Hilo High School in 1979, and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He was the office manager for a local accounting firm.
He is survived by his companion, Michele Kato; mother, Tokiko Hatada; and brothers, Wendell, Darrell, & Curtis Hatada. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, Elaine (John Karnay) Unemori, Dennis Kato, Gary (Debra) Kato, and numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nephews.
