Mr. Gotha was born on August 28, 1952 in Bronx, New York. He was the son of Paul Joseph and Mary Theresa (Collins) Gotha.

He was a sous chef.

Paul is survived by his sister Barbara Sedano; brother David (Mary Jean) Gotha; nieces Seferina (Alex Eda) Sedano, Danielle and Davida Gotha; nephew Rafael Sedano, grandnephews Aiden and Ethan Eda; grandnieces, Elovie and Easton Gotha; step daughter, Michelle Carrinton; cousin Jeannie Wilson and many numerous cousins.
