Yasuo Sorayama, 95
Yasuo Sorayama, 95, of Kahului, passed away peacefully, on April 24, 2016, at Hale Makua Kahului.
Private services were held by the family on May 4, 2016.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Sorayama was born on January 1, 1921 in Puunene, Maui to Kanichi and Fushiyo Sorayama.
He was a retired mechanic.
Mr. Sorayama is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Fumiko Sorayama; son, Ryan (Chikako); grandchildren, Reynald, Rayson and Randy Sorayama; brothers, Yutaka, Shigeo, Minoru, Sadao and Yoshi Sorayama.
He was predeceased by his sister, Hideko Tanji.
Yasuo enjoyed raising orchids and going bowling.
