Hitoshi Yamashita, 91
Mr. Hitoshi Yamashita, 91, of Makawao, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2016 with loving family by his side.
Private family services were held.
Nakamura Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Hitoshi was born on April 26, 1925 to Toyozo and Juto Yamashita in Haiku, HI.
Mr. Yamashita was an Agricultural Research Technician for The University of Hawaii experimental station in Kula. He loved to walk, tend to his garden, gambling, and bringing smiles to everyone around.
Mr. Yamashita is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Hisako Bertha Yamashita; and brothers, Chikara Yamashita, and Kiyohara Yamashita.
Mr. Yamashita leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Susan Pang Ching, Jenny Hedani, and Judy Kohagura.
