Bernard Blas Igarta, 83 of Happy Valley Wailuku, Maui passed away peacefully at Maui Memorial Medical Center on September 07, 2016. He was born in Wailuku, Maui on February 03, 1933.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; burial to follow at Valley Isle Memorial Park at 12:00 p.m.
Bernard retired as a Journeyman Mason. His favorite pass times were making genealogy, arts and crafts, opihi shell crafts. Enjoyed raising goats and other farm animals. Especially enjoyed bowling, he was a member of the Senior League.
He is predeceased by his wife, Adeline Mililani Puna Igarta; survived by his children, Kathleen Uilani Igarta, Bernard (Marie) Igarta, Cheryl (Ray) Flores, Norine Igarta, Alton Igarta and Hanai son, Chris (Mayflor) Kimball; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Siblings; Hazel Chung, Lillian Torriecer, Lucille Olaguer, Clem Igarta and Duke (Evelyn) Igarta.
