Elsie Yoshiko Tamaki, 91, of Kahului, passed away on September 14, 2016 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1925 in Waiehu, Maui.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Ballard Family Mortuary, Kahului.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and service to begin at 11 a.m.
Elsie retired from Takamiya Market.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Hitoshi Tamaki.
Elsie is survived by son, Wayne (Jayme) Tamaki; daughter, Gayle (David) Kama; grandson, Chayse Tamaki; brothers, Kenneth (Doris) Takamiya and James (Suzanne) Takamiya; sisters, Mildred Shimabuku and Maxine Oshiro.
The Tamaki family acknowledges with great appreciation the staff of Hale Makua Kahului and the North Unit for the care given to Elsie.
