Samuel Somera Saribay Sr., 70, of Lahaina, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2016.
Services honoring Mr. Saribay will be held at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Visitation will begin at 8:30am, with Mass beginning at 10:00am. Mr. Saribay will be laid to eternal rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00pm.

Samuel was born on February 17, 1946 to Alfredo & Nieves Saribay in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Phils. In 1968, he married the love of his life, Elsie Sipin, and together they had three children. For over 35 years, Sam worked at Kaanapali Beach Hotel, holding several positions before retiring as a pantry worker. In his retirement, he enjoyed cooking, gardening, golfing, and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren.
Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Elsie Saribay; three children, Sammy Boy, Elsa May, and Shaun Michael; grandchildren, Chasen, Capri, Kayshya, Samilei, Austin, Marley, Riley, Deanna; 4 greatgrandchildren; and brother, Nelson (Lydia) Saribay. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
