Kazue Matsuoka Nakatani, 70, of Kahului, passed away on December 13, 2016 at home, with her loving family by her side and under the care of Island Hospice.
Services honoring Mrs. Nakatani will be held at Kahului Hongwanji on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 4:30pm.
Nakamura Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Kazue was born on December 23, 1945 in Japan to Tsugio & Fujiko Matsuoka. In 1973, she married Masayoshi Nakatani and together they raised 2 daughters.
She retired after 33 years from Hawaiian Airlines as a Japanese Consultant. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, sewing, and other crafts.
Mrs. Nakatani was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Nakatani, and parents, Tsugio & Fujiko Matsuoka.
Kazue leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 43 years, Masayoshi Nakatani; daughter, Debie (Mike) Amby; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Reiko (Mikio) Nabeta, and Sukenobu (Sumiko) Matsuoka.
