Masanori Kaya Sr., 91, of Kula, passed away on January 20, 2017 at Kula Hospital. He was born on December 24, 1925 in Wailuku.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday February 3, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service will begin at 11 a.m., and burial will follow at the Maui Veteran's Cemetery at 1 p.m.
Masanori was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Amy) Kaya, Gerald Kaya, Ransom (Nani) Kaya, George "Keoki" Kaya, and Masanori (Dana) Kaya Jr.; daughters, Linda Oshiro, and Jenai (Connie) Kaya; 1 brother, 2 sisters; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Masanori was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Pelekila Smith.
