Misao T. Wada, 90, of Wailuku, passed peacefully on December 26, 2016 at Hale Makua Kahului with family by her side.
Services in loving memory of Mrs. Wada will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Kahului Hawaii West Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1300 Maui Lani Parkway, with visitation scheduled to begin at 10:00am, and service at 11:00am. Mrs. Wada will be laid to rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00pm.

Misao was born on December 1, 1926 to Soichiro & Mika Tokunaga, in Puunene, Hawaii. Misao was a matriarch to her family and lived her faith with devotion. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and making handicrafts, and most of all, spending time with her family. Misao is predeceased by her loving husband, Larry M. Wada, whom she was married to for 53 years prior to his passing in 2004.
Misao is survived by her son, Dwayne (Christine) Wada; daughter, Cheryl (Robin) Chung; grandchildren, Carolyn Wada, Nathan Wada, Davin (Mikiala) Wada, Nolan (Keli) Wada, Brianne Chung, Linden (Roxanne) Wada, Larrin (Alisa) Wada, Sean Chung, and Sharyn (Isaac) Inouye; and great grandchildren, Kayla, Teija, Zoie, Eden, Ava, Olivia, Sena, Remi, and 'Aukai.
