Ruth Emiko Nishida, 86, wife of the late James T. Nishida, daughter of Sakae and Tsuneyo Takemoto, born July 2, 1930, of Puunene, went home to be with the lord on December 4, 2016.
Ruth worked at Kress Store, Mike's Market, Maui Potato Chip Factory, and Lihikai School as a room cleaner.
Survived by her children, Ray (Glenda) Nishida of Kahului, Rene Nishida-Dumaran (Albert-deceased) of Kahului, and Rodney Nishida of Waihee; siblings, twins Yoshi Takemoto and Tada Takemoto of Lanai, Carol Tomoko Tokunaga (Hiroshi-deceased) of Kahului, and Boston Takemoto (deceased) of Kahului; grandchildren, Nathan, Rene-Al, Koren, and Rodney Jr.; great-grandchildren, Nayshelle, Braydie, Hunter, and Ryder.
Memorial service to be held on January 28, 2017 at Faith in Jesus Church. Public visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Memorial service at 10 a.m.; lunch to follow. Family requests no flowers please.
