Angie “Pake” Solamillo, 83

Ms. Angie "Pake" Solamillo passed away peacefully on March 12, 2017 at her home under the loving care of her niece, "Aunty" Patty Nishiyama. She was born on May 30, 1933 at Pioneer Mill Hospital in Lahaina to Maria Martinez and Calixto Solamillo and grew up at Puukolii Camp. Angie graduated from Lahainaluna High School, resided briefly in Honolulu, then moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from UCLA. She was hired by Los Angeles County and served as a supervisor for Flood Control for 45 years. Angie retired at the age of 79 years old.

Angie joins two deceased sisters, the late Carmen Caluya and Ramona Dongog. She is survived by her brother, Stanley Solamillo; sisters, Louise Abihai and Deloris Dugger, as well as 24 nieces and nephews, 49 grand nieces and nephews, 73 great grand nieces and nephews and 7 great-great grand nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina on Saturday, April 1, 2017 with visitation from 9:00am-10:30am. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am, followed by burial in Maria Lanakila Church Cemetery.
