John “Beans” Vierra, 100
John “Beans” Vierra, 100, of Pukalani, passed away on March 12, 2017 at Hospice Maui Hale in Wailuku. He was born on December 4, 1916 in Waialua, Oahu.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary; prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m., and urn burial will follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery at 1 p.m.
John retired from HC& S as a tractor operator.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn (John) Freitas; son, John Leroy (Marlene) Vierra; sister, Catherine Short; grandchildren, Jennifer (Miles) Sakamura, Michael (Hayley) Freitas, Michele Vierra, John (Kana) Vierra III, Melanie Vierra, and Jayson (Misty) Vierra; 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his wife, Mary B. Vierra.
